Dorottya Zurbó (1988, Hungary) is a film director and university professor in Budapest. She is the guest of honor at the First Film Forum of the Catalan Buddhist Film Festival and the co-director of The Agent of Happiness (Agent of Happiness).
Her first feature-length documentary, The Next Guardian (2017) was also co-directed with Bhutanese filmmaker Arun Bhattarai. Her solo debut was Easy Lessons (2018). She holds a master's degree in documentary directing (DocNomads), a master's degree in film studies, and a PhD in documentary and transmedia (University of Budapest).
Dorottya will present her film and participate in the discussion Can Happiness Be Measured? Her cinematic vision aims to provoke profound questions about how we live and what truly makes us happy. She will share the discussion with Tibetan Buddhist tradition master Lama Tsondru, Dr. Anna Forés, and journalist Jordi Llompart, who will moderate the event.
This discussion, which will be broadcast live online throughout Spain, aims to build bridges between science, ancient wisdom, and contemporary society. The public will have the unique opportunity to participate by submitting questions from anywhere in the country.
