PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION POLICY
Respecting the provisions of current legislation, the CATALAN COORDINATOR OF BUDDHIST ENTITIES, henceforth CCEB, organizer of the FIRST BUDDHIST FILM FESTIVAL IN CATALONIA, undertakes to adopt the necessary technical and organizational measures, according to the level of security appropriate to the risk of the data collected.
Laws incorporated into this privacy policy
This privacy policy is adapted to current Spanish and European regulations regarding the protection of personal data on the internet. Specifically, it complies with the following rules:
- Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council, of April 27, 2016, on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (RGPD).
- Organic Law 3/2018, of December 5, on the protection of personal data and the guarantee of digital rights.
- Royal Decree 1720/2007, of December 21, approving the Regulations for the development of Organic Law 15/1999, of December 13, on the Protection of Personal Data (RDLOPD).
- Law 34/2002, of July 11, on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE).

Registration of Personal Data
The personal data requested by the CCEB through forms on its pages will be entered in an automated file under the responsibility of the Data Controller, duly declared and registered in the General Register of the Spanish Data Protection Agency, which can be consulted at www.agpd.es, in order to facilitate, expedite and fulfill the commitments established between the CCEB and the User, to maintain the relationship established through the forms that the User completes, or to respond to any request or query from the User.
Principles applicable to the processing of personal data
The processing of the User's personal data will be subject to the following principles set out in Article 5 of the RGPD:
- Principle of lawfulness, loyalty and transparency: the User's consent will be required at all times prior to completely transparent information on the purposes of the treatment.
- Principle of purpose limitation: personal data will be collected for specific, explicit and legitimate purposes.
- Principle of data minimization: the data collected will be only those that are strictly necessary.
- Principle of accuracy: personal data must be accurate and up to date.
- Principle of limiting the storage period: personal data will be kept only as long as necessary for the purposes of the treatment.
- Principle of integrity and confidentiality: the data will be treated ensuring security and confidentiality.
- Principle of proactive responsibility: the data controller shall ensure that the above principles are complied with.
Categories of personal data
The categories of data that are processed in the CCEB are only identifying data. Under no circumstances are special categories of personal data processed in accordance with Article 9 of the GDPR.
Legal basis for treatment
The legal basis for the processing of personal data is the consent. The CCEB will request the express and verifiable consent of the User for the processing of their data for one or more specific purposes. The User may withdraw their consent at any time, and it is as easy to withdraw it as it is to grant it. As a general rule, the withdrawal of consent will not condition the use of the Website.
When the User must provide data through forms for inquiries, requests for information or reasons related to the content of the Website, they will be informed if filling in any field is mandatory for the proper development of the operation.
Purpose of the treatment
Personal data is collected and managed to facilitate, expedite and fulfill commitments between the Website and the User, maintain the relationship established through forms or respond to requests and inquiries.
In addition, the data may be used for commercial, personalization, operational and statistical purposes, as well as for marketing studies to adapt the content offered to the User and improve the quality, operation and navigation of the Website.
When the data is obtained, the User will be informed about the specific purpose of the treatment.
Retention periods
The data will be retained only for the time necessary for the purposes of the treatment or until the User requests its deletion.
When obtaining the data, the User will be informed of the conservation period or, if this is not possible, of the criteria used to determine it.
Recipients of the data
The data may be shared with specified recipients or categories of recipients, including the name, address and business name of individuals or companies.
If the transfer of data to a third country or international organization is planned, the User will be informed of the destination and of the existence or absence of adaptation decisions by the European Commission.
Personal data of minors
In accordance with articles 8 of the RGPD and 13 of the RDLOPD, only those over 14 years of age can grant consent for the processing of their personal data. For children under 14 years of age, the consent of parents or guardians will be required, and this is legal only if they authorize it.
Data confidentiality and security
The CCEB will adopt the necessary technical and organizational measures to guarantee the security of personal data and prevent its destruction, loss, alteration or unauthorized access.
However, the impregnability of the Internet cannot be guaranteed. If a security breach occurs that involves a high risk to the rights and freedoms of individuals, the User will be informed without delay.
The data will be treated as confidential and will be guaranteed to be respected by employees, associates and anyone who has access to them.
User Rights
The User may exercise the rights recognized in the RGPD before the CCEB:
- Access: confirm if your data is being processed and obtain information about the treatment.
- Rectification: correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion (“right to be forgotten”): delete data when they are no longer necessary, consent is withdrawn or there is unlawful processing.
- Limitation of treatment: restrict treatment under certain circumstances.
- Portability: receive your data in a structured format and transfer them to another controller.
- Opposition: object to the processing of your data.
- Not to be subject to automated decisions: including profiling, with legal exceptions.
The rights will be exercised through written communication addressed to the Data Controller, with reference to RGPD-CCEB, including:
- Name, surname and copy of the ID (or equivalent means of identification).
- Specific reasons for the request.
- Address for notification purposes.
- Date and signature of the applicant.
- Documents supporting the request.

Complaints to the supervisory authority
If the User considers that data protection regulations have been violated, they can exercise their right to effective judicial protection and file a complaint with the corresponding supervisory authority, in Spain: the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.agpd.es).
Acceptance and changes to the policy
The User must read and accept this Privacy Policy so that the Data Controller can proceed with the processing of personal data.
The CCEB reserves the right to modify this policy at its own discretion or due to legislative or case law changes. The changes will be explicitly notified to the User.
